This page explains what happens to personal data on snipezone.fi. It covers this website only — the SnipeZone player app and the coach platform have their own terms.

Who is responsible

SnipeZone Oy, Niittymäentie 9, 02200 Espoo, Finland.

What we collect, and when

When you send a form on this site, we receive what you typed into it: your name, your email address and, where the form has a message field, your message. The guide download asks for a name and an email address only.

Our server keeps ordinary technical logs of requests — IP address, time, the page requested, browser type. These come with running a website and are used to keep it working and to stop abuse.

We do not ask for anything else, and there is no account to create on this site.

Why we may use it

Form submissions are used to answer you and to discuss the thing you wrote to us about. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry we were asked to respond to, and, where it leads that way, taking steps toward a contract.

Technical logs rest on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working site.

Advertising measurement rests on your consent, and on nothing else. See below.

Who else sees it

Form submissions are stored by our database provider on servers in the EU. Our email provider carries the notification that tells us a form arrived. The site itself runs on a server we rent in Finland.

These are processors: they handle the data to provide us a service and for nothing of their own, and none of it leaves the EU. We will name any of them on request.

Meta is different and is named for that reason: if you allow advertising measurement, it receives data as a controller in its own right. See below.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics.

If you allow it, we load the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). It places identifiers in your browser and tells Meta which pages you looked at and whether you sent a form, so that we can measure our advertising and show ads to people who have visited. For this Meta is a separate controller of the data it receives; what it then does is governed by Meta’s own privacy terms.

Nothing from Meta is requested before you choose. Decline, and the pixel is never loaded at all.

Your choice is remembered in your own browser. You can change it at any time: “Cookie settings” at the foot of any page brings the question back, and taking permission away is the same single click that gave it.

Two embeds are worth naming. The video on the hardware page comes from YouTube, and requests nothing from Google until you press play. The booking page at /book embeds SimplyBook’s widget, which sets its own cookies to run the booking.

How long we keep it

We delete an enquiry 36 months after you sent it. This is not a promise we have to remember to keep: a scheduled job in the database removes them, and it runs every day.

If an enquiry turns into working together, the data belongs to that relationship rather than to this form, and is kept for as long as the relationship and the record-keeping duties that follow it require.

Server logs are short-lived and rotate automatically.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect what happened before you did.

Write to info@snipezone.fi and we will answer.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update this page and, where the change concerns consent, ask again.
